Macquarie Group Sydney Royal Wine Show

Just four years after it was founded in 1822, the Agricultural Society of NSW awarded a medal to Gregory Blaxland for the best sample of Australian wine. This award was possibly the first time that an award had been given for an Australian wine, and a farsighted recognition of the part that wine was to play in the agricultural development of Australia. Ever since, wine has played a significant part in the Sydney Royal competitions, attracting around 300 exhibitors in 60 different classes, ensuring for the winners recognition and a valuable opportunity to shine the spotlight on their wines. This fantastic event is on Saturday 19th February, 2011 from 11am-4pm in Southee Pavillion, Syd Showgrounds, Syd Olympic Park. To find out more information visit www.sydneyroyal.com.au/wine
